About the Role
Oversees the entire development lifecycle for multiple residential projects — from site acquisition and project conception through construction completion and lease-up — in San Diego.
Salary: $104,000 – $130,000/year
Key Responsibilities
Development & Feasibility
- Identify and evaluate potential projects through due diligence, environmental studies, and financial analysis
- Coordinate with capital markets teams on underwriting standards
Planning & Entitlements
- Lead consultant teams through the approval process
- Manage community outreach and oversee design development
Design & Construction
- Manage design and construction teams to ensure financially viable, timely, cost-efficient projects
- Track milestones, budgets, and deliverables
Financial Management
- Create and maintain project pro formas, secure financing, and manage budgets
Requirements
- 3–5 years in real estate development (affordable/multifamily housing)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with complex urban and transit-oriented projects
- Low-income housing tax credit knowledge
- Pro forma development skills
- MS Office proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent in business, real estate, architecture, planning, or finance
- Southern California real estate market knowledge
