The Senior Compliance Specialist reports to the Compliance Manager and is a Senior member of a Team of Compliance professionals responsible for supporting affordable housing portfolios on behalf of external property owners. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with property specific regulatory agreements, applicable laws, and internal policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews property specific Regulatory Agreements to identify all applicable funding sources and corresponding regulatory requirements, owner and investor reporting requirements, rent parameters, etc, and ensures internal systems are appropriately aligned.
Acts as the primary point of contact with the Compliance team for the properties they support, including communications with external property owners.
Updates internal systems to reflect ongoing changes to income limits, rents and utility allowances.
Provides secondary review for files presenting heightened compliance risk.
Reviews prospective resident files for income qualification and continued compliance.
